Papers The UCASH Economy
The UCASH Economy
How the ecosystem earns, where the revenue goes, and what UCASH the token actually is: the network access and loyalty token of an open-money network that has been live since 2015.
An open-money network
U.CASH is the open-money network: non-custodial pay, swap, buy, names, and agent rails across 30+ chains. It sits under the Ucosystem umbrella alongside U.ONLine, its business-apps complement. UCASH is the network access and loyalty token running through all of it, and revenue from across the Ucosystem feeds the U.CASH economy.
The network has been active since 2015. The token is a standard ERC-20 deployed in January 2018.
The ecosystem
The Ucosystem covers four kinds of infrastructure: DNS, internet and domains (undomains.com, unregistry.com, unregistrar.com, and the .u / @u web3 identity that is also a payable wallet); crypto payments and assets (Pay, Swap, Buy, Names, Agents, Verify); business apps under U.ONLine (Umerce commerce and services, u.builders bounties, Unverification tiers); and the network surface itself: converters moving cash and crypto in person, and one Portal account across every app.
Beyond the core apps, the ecosystem runs domain registration, hosting, commerce, AI tooling, verification and bounty programs. Each one is a real service that real people and businesses use every day.
Many sources of revenue
The ecosystem earns from a wide mix of businesses and services, business-to-business and business-to-consumer, financial and otherwise. The major rails today:
- Payments: pay.u.cash processing across 30+ chains plus fiat cards.
- Swaps and exchange: swap.u.cash, a 0.50% all-in fee and instant exchange across 1,500+ coins.
- Agent commerce: agents.u.cash per-request payments over HTTP-402.
- Commerce and services: Umerce B2B and B2C plans, AI tools, and marketing.
- Financial services: invoicing, payouts, cash and crypto conversion, and custom tokens.
- Names and identity: .u and @u registrations and web3-name resolution.
- Premium verification: Unverification tiers for premium access and discounts.
- Domains and hosting: registrations, renewals, registry, hosting and email.
Revenue feeds the network
Revenue from across the ecosystem is put back to work: maintaining and expanding the rails, funding bounties, growing the ecosystem, and building decentralized applications. A portion of revenue from every app, service, business, smart contract and dApp is used to acquire more UCASH, which funds future bounties, allocations and ecosystem initiatives.
- Infrastructure: rails across 30+ chains, REST APIs, signed webhooks, SDKs, and agent payments.
- Bounties: u.builders pays contributors in UCASH for real work, open to everyone.
- Decentralized apps: support and grants for dApps and services built on U.CASH.
- Liquidity and access: keeping UCASH reachable across chains, bridges and venues.
UCASH at a glance
UCASH is a standard ERC-20 token, deployed in January 2018 as the network access and loyalty token for the ecosystem. Max supply is 21 billion, with 14 billion-plus circulating. The token is omni-chain: it lives on 13 networks today, the canonical Ethereum, Polygon and Base deployments plus the OFT bridge mesh. Always verify the contract before interacting.

- Polygon: 0xA94880d3A4b39746E90Cdb57f8De3732c984DE14

Holdings, labeled and on-chain
Every UCASH token exists on public ledgers, and anyone can inspect who holds what. The largest holdings on Ethereum are not private allocations. They are labeled network functions: bounty-offering reserves that fund ecosystem work, bridge contracts that custody the cross-chain supply, exchange wallets holding user balances, and liquidity venues. The remainder is spread across 318K-plus wallets.
About 42% of supply sits in five labeled bounty-offering reserves. Some of the balance in those accounts is held on behalf of legacy portal users who have not yet withdrawn their original UCASH; only the share earmarked for future ecosystem work counts as not circulating, roughly a third of total supply.
